I was contacted by another client the other day. They have been working with a firm for years and when the firm sent them a bill, and they failed to respond, the firm immediately withdrew from litigation. It turns out the bill was left with a bookkeeper who was on vacation by accident. Rather than calling the client to follow up based on the extended relationship, they simply withdrew. Now I have a new client.
